BeeAnti – Plugins PT.3

Last off in our list – Antispam Bee, or BeeAnti for short. Shortest way to describe it I think is: CleanTalk, with less features, but free. Although it does have a big issue, which we will get to soon.

Antispam Bee is a plugin that helps website owners protect their sites from spam comments and other unwanted content. The plugin uses a variety of techniques, including IP address and URL blacklists, to automatically block spam comments and other unwanted content.

Main Features of BeeAnti

One of the main features of this plugin, which is actually the same as for our previous plugin – is its ability to block spam comments before they reach your website. This is done by automatically checking incoming comments against a database of known spam IP addresses and URLs. If a match is found, the comment is automatically marked as spam and moved to a moderation queue, where the website owner can review and delete it.

The Good, and the Bad.

However, here is where the good news end and the bad ones start. Sadly, this plugin has been last updated 6 months ago, which means that the databases might be out of date. It also hasn’t been officially tested with the newest version of WordPress yet, so be sure to make a backup if you want to try it out. But overall, I would just stick to the default spam protection.
